Research Key Areas:


  • Pharmacological evaluation of natural products for their therapeutic value targeted on metabolic disorders (Type-2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, hyperlipidaemia) and CNS disorders (anxiety, depression and neurodegenerative diseases) using experimental in vivo / in vitro models and deriving the mechanism of action.

Research Highlights:


  • Development of nose-to-brain delivery of rotigotine formulation for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. This research is received grant from Ministry of Science and technology, Govt. of Malaysia.
  • Single Original Research Article (Scientific) with Highest Impact Factor award in 2020 by School of Pharmacy, International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • Best Original Research Paper award in 2019 by School of Pharmacy, International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
  • First Prize in poster presentation in Diabetes Asia 2017 Conference, Kuala Lumpur, 12- 15 October 2017.
